Racial Harmony Day
See how students marked Racial Harmony Day through skits, songs, and games that brought Singapore's diverse cultures to life.

On 21 July, our school commemorated Racial Harmony Day with the theme, “Our People, Our Tapestry.” The theme reminded us that Singapore’s multicultural society is like a vibrant tapestry, woven together by the unique identities, traditions, beliefs and practices of our diverse communities.

The celebration began with an engaging assembly programme featuring a lively skit, songs performed in different languages and an interactive quiz that tested students’ knowledge of Singapore’s rich cultural heritage. Students also took part in a variety of hands-on activities, including traditional games such as Five Stones and Chapteh, as well as a matching game that introduced them to traditional Chinese, Malay and Indian foods.
Through these meaningful and enjoyable experiences, students gained a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s rich cultural diversity and strengthened their understanding of the importance of mutual respect, empathy and harmony. As they celebrated the richness of different cultures, they were reminded that by valuing one another’s differences and working together, we can continue to keep Singapore’s multicultural tapestry vibrant, strong and united.
