House System
The House System has been a proud tradition at Blangah Rise Primary School since its founding. Re-established in 2021, it continues to strengthen school spirit and foster empowering teacher-student relationships that support every child's growth.
Our four Houses — Delta, Gillman, Keppel, and Redhill — are named in honour of Singapore's heritage. Each House carries a piece of the nation's history and embodies virtues that guide our students to grow as both independent and inter-dependent learners, developing a strong sense of identity, belonging, and civic consciousness along the way.
From 2021 to 2025, Primary 3 to Primary 6 students participated in Modular Sports (House Practice), developing skills across Athletics, Dance, Floorball, and Volleyball. In 2026, the House System was enhanced to welcome Primary 1 and Primary 2 students into the fold. Modular Sports have since evolved into House Days, where students from Primary 1 to Primary 6 come together in level activities grouped by their respective Houses. Through these shared experiences, students develop teamwork, communication, and resilience — learning to collaborate across differences, support one another, and strive towards common goals.
As a platform that supports our total school curriculum, the House System remains firmly anchored in the RISE Values. It is designed to nurture students who are confident, adaptable, and socially aware — individuals equipped with the values, skills, and competencies to thrive in an ever-changing world, and to contribute meaningfully to the communities they are part of.
