House Day Brings Learning, Teamwork and House Spirit to Life
The new term began with excitement as students across all levels came together for House Day, taking part in a variety of meaningful and engaging activities that fostered teamwork, resilience, creativity, and school spirit.
Our Primary 1 students embraced "The Great Straw Tower Challenge", working together as junior engineers to design and build the tallest straw towers. Through perseverance, problem-solving, and collaboration, they discovered that success is built on teamwork and determination.
Primary 2 students put the physical skills they had developed during PE lessons into action through a series of energetic relay challenges. Filled with enthusiastic cheers and friendly competition, the event celebrated active living, resilience, and outstanding sportsmanship.
Primary 3 students enjoyed a refreshing Walk-A-Jog at Telok Blangah Hill Park, promoting healthy living while strengthening friendships in the great outdoors.
For Primary 4, learning extended beyond the classroom as students created upcycled PET bottle terrariums. Through this hands-on activity, they explored concepts such as photosynthesis, respiration, and soil composition, while developing a deeper appreciation for environmental sustainability through recycling and upcycling.
Our Senior Primary students rounded off the celebrations with exciting House-based activities. Primary 5 students participated in a variety of interactive game stations, while Primary 6 students showcased their teamwork and determination in modified softball matches. Beyond the friendly competition, the activities strengthened camaraderie, communication, and the sense of belonging within each House.
House Day was a wonderful reminder that learning happens in many ways - through play, collaboration, exploration, and shared experiences. It was an inspiring start to the new term, bringing our school community together while nurturing confident, caring, and resilient learners.
